Best Planting Time:

• In South Africa, the ideal planting window is during the cooler months. Although June marks winter across most regions, the dormant state of the peony roots means they can be planted immediately in areas with a pronounced winter chill.
• In milder climates, consider giving the roots a brief chilling period (about a week in a cool, dark place) before planting to simulate the natural winter dormancy.

Site & Soil Preparation:

• Location: Choose a spot that receives full sun to partial shade.
