Dahlia ‘Amusing’ is a sunny little showstopper! This pompon-type dahlia produces masses of small, perfectly round blooms in vibrant golden-yellow — like little balls of sunshine bobbing on strong stems. Dahlias are shipped as single tubers with a minimum of one eye guaranteed. If you’re not planting right away, store in a cool, dry, dark place until you are.

Planting Information:

Plant after the last spring frost, when the soil is around 15°C. Choose a sunny, well-draining spot enriched with compost and a general-purpose fertiliser.

Place the tuber with the eye/sprout facing up, about 8 cm deep. Cover, press down gently, and water once to settle. Wait for visible growth before watering again to avoid rot.

Tips for Growing Dahlias:

• Go easy on water until shoots emerge.

• Water deeply at the base once or twice a week when growing actively.

• Feed every 3–4 weeks with a water-soluble fertiliser until March.

• Stake taller varieties to keep stems upright.

• Deadhead to keep blooms coming.

• Cut flowers regularly — the more you cut, the more it blooms.

• Store tubers after the season if necessary, or leave in the ground in frost-free areas.
