Ficus lyrata – 20cm | Compact Fiddle Leaf Fig for Modern Interiors

Ficus lyrata (Fiddle Leaf Fig) is one of the most iconic indoor plants, loved for its large, violin-shaped leaves and bold, architectural form. This 20cm pot size is perfect as a compact statement plant for living rooms, offices and bright bedrooms – big enough to stand out, but still easy to move and style on a stand or in a decorative cover pot.

Plant Care

  • Sun: Bright, indirect light. Morning sun is fine, but avoid harsh midday sun directly on the leaves.
  • Soil: Well-draining indoor potting mix with added bark or perlite for extra aeration.
  • Water: Water thoroughly when the top 3–4cm of soil is dry. Do not let the plant stand in water.
  • Fertiliser: Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser.
  • Pruning: Remove yellow or damaged leaves and pinch out the growing tip if you want a bushier shape.
  • Top tip: Rotate the pot every few weeks so the plant grows straight and doesn’t lean toward the light.
