Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Pink Majesty’
Bigleaf Hydrangea | Regal Dark-Pink Mophead Blooms

‘Pink Majesty’ is a striking bigleaf (mophead) hydrangea selected for its exceptionally large, rich pink flowerheads and strong, upright habit. The bold, rounded blooms sit proudly above lush green foliage, creating a luxurious display in garden beds, borders, or large containers. A real showpiece in partial shade, it brings vibrant, long-lasting colour to any garden or patio and is equally impressive as a cut flower.

Plant Care

Sun: Partial shade — best with morning sun and afternoon shade. Protect from harsh midday heat and drying wind.
Soil: Moist, fertile, well-drained; amend sandy or poor soils with compost or coco peat.
Water: Moderate to regular — keep soil consistently moist, especially during hot summer months or in containers.
Fertilizer: Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring and again mid-summer for continuous flowering. Avoid high-nitrogen feeds that promote leaf growth over blooms.
Pruning: Light pruning only. Remove old flowerheads and weak or dead stems after flowering; avoid hard pruning (blooms on old wood).
Top tip: Maintain a neutral to slightly alkaline soil to keep blooms rich pink. Add a little garden lime if soil is very acidic and avoid aluminium-based “blueing” products.
