Philodendron Micans – 15cm | Velvety Trailing Philodendron for Shelves & Hangers
Philodendron Micans is a much-loved trailing plant with soft, velvety, heart-shaped leaves that shimmer in shades of green and bronze. It’s perfect for hanging baskets, shelves and plant stands where its vines can spill down and create a lush, cascading effect.
Plant Care
- Sun: Bright, indirect light is ideal. It will tolerate medium light, but growth may be slower.
- Soil: Light, well-draining potting mix with added perlite or bark.
- Water: Water when the top 2–3cm of soil is dry. Do not allow the soil to stay soggy.
- Fertiliser: Feed every 4–6 weeks in the growing season with a diluted, balanced fertiliser.
- Pruning: Trim back long vines to encourage bushier growth and to take cuttings if desired.
- Top tip: Micans enjoys humidity – it really shines when grouped with other tropical plants.
