Primula ‘Danova Mix’ is a vibrant and compact primrose variety that bursts into a cheerful range of colours—yellows, pinks, blues, purples, and whites—all with bright yellow centres. This uniform, early-flowering series is perfect for cool-season bedding, borders, and pots, offering a long-lasting show of colour just when the garden needs it most.

🌱 How to Grow Primula ‘Danova Mix’ Plugs

🕰️ Planting Time:

  • Late summer to autumn

  • Can also be planted in early spring in cooler climates

🌞 Position:

  • Partial shade to dappled sun

  • Prefers a cool, sheltered spot with morning sun and afternoon shade

🌱 Soil:

  • Rich, humus-filled, well-draining soil

  • pH: Neutral to slightly acidic (6.0–7.0)

  • Add compost to improve moisture retention and structure

📏 Spacing:

  • 15–20 cm apart for mass colour displays

  • Close planting enhances the carpet effect

💧 Watering:

  • Keep evenly moist — don’t allow to dry out

  • Avoid overhead watering to protect leaves and blooms

🌿 Feeding:

  • Feed every 2–3 weeks with a balanced liquid fertiliser during active growth

  • Avoid overfeeding, which can lead to leafy growth at the expense of flowers

🌾 Staking:

  • Not needed — plants are naturally compact and well-formed

🌼 Where to Plant or Use

  • Borders & Pathways: Bright early colour along garden edges

  • Shady Beds: Perfect for underplanting beneath deciduous trees

  • Containers & Window Boxes: Adds charm to patios and balconies

  • Mixed Plantings: Lovely with violas, pansies, alyssum, and dusty miller
