Hydrangea paniculata ‘Panenka’ (HP219902)

Compact Panicle Hydrangea | Long-Lasting Lime Blooms

Hydrangea paniculata ‘Panenka’ is a compact, well-branched panicle hydrangea
with large, conical flower heads that open soft lime-green to creamy white.
In cooler late-season conditions the blooms may develop a gentle pink blush;
in warmer sites they typically remain fresh green-white into autumn.
Bred by the Hydrangea Breeders Association (Pan-series) for strong stems,
excellent branching and prolific flowering — ideal for borders, smaller gardens and large containers.

Plant Care

  • Sun: Full sun to partial shade (best: morning sun / afternoon shade)
  • Soil: Moist, fertile, well-drained; enrich sandy soils with compost or coco peat
  • Water: Moderate — keep evenly moist, especially in summer heat
  • Fertilizer: Balanced feed in spring; optional light top-up mid-summer
  • Pruning: Cut back hard in late winter/early spring (flowers on new growth)
  • Top tip: Mulch to conserve moisture; avoid overhead watering during bloom to prevent petal scorch
